• To strengthen the system of physical, social and economic development in urban and rural areas to improve the standard  of living in accordance with national goals
• To manage, control and coordinate land development, use and conservation through effective implementation of the Town  and Country Planning Act and related acts
• To formulate and implement rules, policies, plans and guidelines for planning and ensure their effective application by  all planning agencies
• To ensure town planning services and quality information system are of a high quality for the needs of long-term planning
