Rancangan Pembangunan
Akta Perancangan Bandar dan Desa 1976 (Akta 172) memperuntukkan bahawa pihak berkuasa perancang tempatan (PBPT) untuk menyediakan rancangan tempatan dan rancangan struktur yang telah disediakan oleh Pengarah Perancangan Bandar dan Desa (JPBD) Negeri.

Kemajuan Penyediaan Rancangan Tempatan

Rancangan Struktur Negeri Perak 2020

  1. Dokumen yang menyediakan rangkakerja perancangan untuk tujuan memandu dan mengawal pembangunan fizikal di seluruh Negeri Perak sehingga tahun 2020.
  2. Pihak Berkuasa Negeri telah meluluskan RSN Perak 2020 pada 19 Desember 2007 dan diwartakan pada 10 April 2008.
  3. Rancangan Pembangunan Negeri (State Development Plan).
  4. Landasan ke arah merealisasikan Wawasan Perak Maju 2015.
  5. Secara keseluruhannya, RSN Perak 2020 mempunyai
      • 13 Dasar Perancangan Strategik (DSPN),
      • 36 Strategi Perlaksanaan (SP) dan
      • 78 Projek Strategik Negeri (PSN).

How the Public Involved in the Development Plan
Preparation of development plans directly affect local residents and Act 172 allows the public to participate in its development.
 
 
Section 12A provides preparation before RT, the Local Planning Authority (PBPT) shall convene the initial publicity with respect to draft the RT that will be provided.
 
Subsection 13 (2) provides after draft RT provided. PBPT must provide a copy of the report to be distributed and displayed to the public inspect not less than four (4) weeks.
 
Members of the public can protest the event aggrieved by the things contained in the draft RT. Publicity draft RT can be extended further for a period not exceeding four (4) weeks on public demand.
 
Notices and public announcements to be published in three issues of the newspaper as provided under subsection 13 (2).
 
If RT has been approved and gazetted, all development activities must comply with the RT.
